Frequently Asked Questions
Which BMI standard should I use?
The Asia-Pacific standard uses lower thresholds (overweight at BMI 23) and is recommended by the WHO for Asian populations, including Indonesians. The international WHO standard (overweight at 25) is the global default. Pick whichever your doctor prefers.
How are the calorie numbers calculated?
We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate your BMR (calories burned at rest), then multiply by an activity factor to get your TDEE (maintenance calories). Your goal adjusts the target by roughly 500 kcal/day for losing or gaining weight.
Is my data private?
Yes. All calculations run entirely in your browser. Your age, weight, and height are saved only on your own device and never sent to our servers.
Can I rely on this for medical decisions?
No. These are general estimates for guidance only. For medical advice, body composition analysis, or a personalized nutrition plan, consult a doctor or registered dietitian.
