What is a fair tip percentage?
15–20% is standard in the US for sit-down restaurants. In Indonesia, 5–10% is common (sometimes included as 'service charge' on the bill). For takeout or counter service, 10% is a kind baseline. Adjust based on the service you got.
How does the round-up option work?
Round-up snaps each person's share to a clean number: to the nearest cent (USD) or the nearest hundred rupiah (IDR). Useful so nobody has to deal with coins, or so you can leave a small extra tip without doing the math in your head.
Does the tip get split too?
Yes. The tool adds the full tip to the bill, then divides by the number of people. So everyone pays the same total-per-person — tip included.
Can I enter a custom tip percentage?
Yes. Use the 'Custom %' field at the bottom of the tip section to enter any value, including decimals like 12.5.
Is my bill data sent anywhere?
