Zakat Calculator
Calculate income, savings, gold, trade, and fitrah zakat using the 85g gold nisab and 2.5% rate. Offline and private.
About this tool
Calculate all five common types of zakat in one place: monthly income (penghasilan), savings & liquid assets (maal/tabungan), pure gold ownership (emas), trade assets after debt (perdagangan), and yearly fitrah for Ramadan. Each type uses the proper nisab โ 85 grams of gold for maal types, 2.5 kg of staple food per person for fitrah โ and the standard 2.5% rate. Set the gold price once and it applies across all maal calculations; you can override anytime with today's ANTAM price for full accuracy. Below-nisab cases show clearly how much short you are. Works fully offline.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the nisab and how is it calculated?
Nisab is the minimum wealth threshold that triggers a zakat obligation. For maal-type zakat (income, savings, gold, trade), it equals 85 grams of pure gold. The IDR value depends on today's gold price โ set it once in the gold price field and the tool computes nisab automatically.
Why is the income nisab divided by 12?
Monthly income zakat compares your monthly gross to a monthly slice of the annual nisab (85g gold รท 12). If your single month's income meets that slice, zakat is due that month at 2.5%. This is the calculation method used by BAZNAS.
Does this tool handle non-pure gold (22K, 18K)?
No โ the gold tab assumes 24K pure gold. If you own 22K or 18K, convert the weight to its 24K equivalent first (multiply 22K weight by 22/24, 18K by 18/24).
What about haul (1-year holding)?
Haul applies to maal-type zakat (savings, gold, trade): you owe zakat only if the wealth has been held for at least one Islamic year and stayed above nisab the whole time. The tool doesn't track haul automatically โ you decide whether the period is met.
Where do I actually pay zakat?
This tool only calculates the obligation. To pay, visit BAZNAS (baznas.go.id), Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Zakat, or any authorized zakat institution. Payment is intentionally outside this tool to keep the calculator clean and unbiased.
